After seven years, Dark Myth’s founder and CEO David K. Montoya has agreed to work along with long time friend and Co-Creator of the comic Alan Russo to finally produce the title they created back in 2001, by the name of SmasH, a comedy about comic books and their heroes.
Montoya and Russo have agreed to Co-Write the first five issues, and then Montoya will go solo for the sixth issue, the final arc of the storyline. Along with the co-writing, Montoya will also be the Penciler for the six issues.
“I am very excited to have these two great creative minds on board. Montoya and Russo will be doing something very hard in co-writing a comic book, and for those who may not know, to make this process even more difficult, Alan [Russo] lives clear across the United States,” said Mario Martinez, Editor in Chief of Dark Myth Comics. “As for Montoya also agreeing to pick up a pencil again (Laughs) will add that extra flavor to the comic. As a fan and EIC, I can’t wait to see it in print.”
The Comic SmasH is not scheduled for release until 2009.
