2009 is going to be a busy year for everyone here at dark Myth Comics. With four to five monthly titles scheduled for next year, Dark Myth fans have a lot to look forward to. Let”s take a look at each title that is currently on the Roster.
Ayot Nom: Blood Red Path: Plotted and art by Slim Black, scripted by Rebecca C. Lofgren, guest inker Mario Martinez, and lettered by Eletrik Lettering.
The Scoop: Bloody Red Path takes place the pages of Ayot Nom One Shot. Myo an aged samurai stumbles across Ayot Nom and his murdered wife, against his better judgment, Myo takes the wounded Ayot and prepares him for his revenge!
The Hype: This title is loaded with talent, creator of Ayot Nom, David K. Montoya serves as the uncredited Creative Director, along with Slim Black, who is creating the plots as well as the Penciler and part of the inks. The other half of the inking for the title is coming in the way of Editor in Chief, Mario Martinez. Author, Rebecca C. Lofgren is the scripter, putting in her dynamic narration, something she has been known for.
The Saints: Written by Rachel Martinez, Art by David Carrillo, Letters by Chris Weber.
The Scoop: Four highly trained Black ops soldiers known as the Saints are given a mission that goes against everything they believe in and to make matters worse, they are exposed to a hazardous chemical. Bu8t what kind of side affects will it cause...?
The Hype: The original concept was created by Mario Martinez, and captured by new comer Rachel Martinez. She is said to bring a new uncanny style to the world of comics. With international artist, David Carrillo doing all the art on this book is the makings for a hit!
SmasH: Written by Alan Russo and David K. Montoya, also penciled by David K. Montoya, Inked by Mario Martinez and colors by Randolph Lofgren.
The Scoop: Welcome to the City of Crapalopolis, where the bad guys are bad and the good guys are...well, stupid. In the first issue, a huge monster plows through the city, leaving a path of destruction behind. When the creature gets to close to Multi-Billionaire Main Boss Guy”s network Television Station, he brings in the big guns. The hero by the name of Hero and his sidekick, Sidekick!
The Hype: There”s more talent on this title, then a panel at Comic Con! Writer/Director Alan Russo along with Co-Writer and Penciler David K. Montoya create a land of super-powered comedy.
The Convict Volumes––Volume #1: Writer Sadie Burbank, Artist is yet to be named and lettered by Electrik Lettering.
The Scoop: Odd things start happening near and around Convict Lake California and it”s up to a unlikely group of people to figure out what”s happening before the world as they know it is no more!
The Hype: Sadie Burbank has been called the Dean Koontz of comics. Known for her detailed art direction and thick dialog (not to mention her warped sense of humor), The Convict Volumes is geared up to be one dark adventure tale you won”t soon forget!
